The BC Arts Council is accepting applications from arts and culture organizations for two funding programs with deadlines in January.
The Youth Engagement Program provides support for organizations taking innovative and inspiring approaches that engage British Columbia’s young people in arts and culture. The application deadline is Monday, Jan. 16, 2017.
Project Assistance for Community Arts Festivals supports community-based arts and cultural organizations in B.C. that produce local arts festivals. These awards assist with fees for professional artists and technicians engaged for the festival. Priority will be given to festivals that feature British Columbian and Canadian artists. The application deadline is Monday, Jan. 30, 2017.
The Government of British Columbia is investing approximately $60 million in arts and culture again in 2016-17 to further support a thriving creative economy. Supported within this funding, the BC Arts Council is providing $24 million to help artists and cultural organizations flourish in more than 200 communities throughout the province. The BC Arts Council draws upon the expertise of British Columbia’s arts and culture community to provide an independent peer-review adjudication process.
