The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a pond in Richmond on Dec. 27, 2015.
He was Ephraigm Flores, aged 23, of Toronto, Ontario.
Mr. Flores was visiting family in Richmond over the holiday season. He was reported missing by family on Dec. 27, 2015, when he had not returned home, and a search was begun.
On Dec. 30, searchers found items of Mr. Flores’s clothing in Garden City Park in Richmond, near the family member’s home where he was staying. The next day the RCMP Dive Team recovered Mr. Flores from a pond in the centre of the park. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and Richmond RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Flores’ family has been notified of his death.
