The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a trailer fire in Coquitlam on Jan. 19, 2016.
He is Timothy David Thomson, aged 55, of Coquitlam.
Shortly after midnight on Jan. 19, 2016, neighbours noticed that the travel-trailer in which Mr. Thomson lived in the 4100-block of Cedar Drive was on fire. They called 911, and the Coquitlam Fire Department extinguished the blaze. After it was extinguished, Mr. Thomson was discovered inside the trailer, deceased.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and fire officials continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Thomson’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
