The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident near 70-Mile House on Jan. 19, 2016.
He was Drago Bjelica, aged 74, of Lillooet.
Mr. Bjelica was the driver and sole occupant of a northbound pickup truck that was in a head-on collision with a southbound pickup truck on Highway 97 near the 80-mile mark at about 8 a.m. on Jan. 19, 2016. Mr. Ryall Bjelica was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Bjelica’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
