The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Kelowna on Feb. 29, 2016.
He was Curtis James Schopf, aged 18, originally from Chilliwack but most recently residing in Kelowna.
Mr. Schopf was the driver and sole occupant of a car that was involved in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 97 and Edwards Road in Kelowna, at about 9 p.m. on Feb. 29, 2016. Mr. Schopf was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Schopf’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
