The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of two women who died after a motor vehicle incident near Vernon on March 6, 2016.
They are Carlee Nora De Boer, aged 20, of Grindrod, and Paige Alexandra Whitelaw, also aged 20, of Ladysmith.
Both women were passengers in an eastbound crew-cab truck that struck the road shoulder and rolled on Highway 6 near Waddington Drive in Vernon about 1:25 a.m. on March 6, 2016. Both women were deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate these deaths.
The families of both victims have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
