The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in an ATV incident near Granisle on July 10, 2016.
He was Bryon Edward Heighington, aged 62, of Terrace.
Mr. Heighington was the driver and sole occupant of a quad ATV that is believed to have collided with a moose and then left the roadway on Highway 118 just south of Red Bluff Provincial Park near Granisle just after 8 p.m. on July 10, 2016. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Heighington has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
