The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who was found deceased on the shore of Upper Arrow Lake on Aug. 6, 2016.
He was Leslie Raymond Wetselaar, aged 69, of Revelstoke.
On Aug. 6, 2016, a party of boaters, who were looking to beach their boat on the shore of Upper Arrow Lake, came upon a deceased male on the shore of the lake about three kilometres north of the Shelter Bay boat launch.
The BC Coroners Service has now determined that the male was Mr. Wetselaar, who was witnessed to go missing on April 20, 2016, while bathing from the Centennial Park Boat Launch in Revelstoke.
Mr. Wetselaar’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
