The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident in Comox on Aug. 21, 2016.
He was Robert Anthony Leslie, aged 92, of Comox.
Mr. Leslie was a pedestrian crossing the street in a crosswalk at the intersection of Torrence and Guthrie roads in Comox about 6:20 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2016, when he was struck by a vehicle. He was transported to St. Joseph’s General Hospital but succumbed to his injuries a short time after arriving at the hospital.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Mr. Leslie’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
