The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident in Nanaimo on Sept. 5, 2016.
She is Brenda Lilian Pitt-Taylor, aged 92, of Nanaimo.
Ms. Pitt-Taylor was driving her car southbound on Wakesiah Avenue in Nanaimo at about 11:10 a.m. on Sept. 5, 2016, when at the intersection with 5th Avenue, she was involved in a collision with a westbound SUV. She was transported to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, but succumbed to her injuries later the same day.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Ms. Pitt-Taylor’s family has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
