The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor vehicle incident near Big Lake southeast of Williams Lake on Oct. 1, 2016.
He is Michael Loren Hendry, aged 44, of 108 Mile Ranch.
Mr. Hendry was the driver and sole occupant of a Geo Tracker which, in the late afternoon of Oct. 1, 2016, left the roadway and struck a power pole on Beaver Lake Road, an unpaved road near Big Lake, a small community southeast of Williams Lake. Mr. Hendry was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Hendry has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
