The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a youth who died after a motor vehicle incident near Hope on Nov. 7, 2016.
He was Darryl Peters, aged 14, of Hope.
Darryl was struck by an eastbound semi-trailer unit on Highway 7 near its intersection with Chawathil Road just west of Hope at about 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, 2016. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
Darryl’s family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service requests that the media respect their privacy during this difficult time.
