The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a workplace accident in Vernon on Dec. 9, 2016.
He was Christopher Marcel Emile Potvin, aged 32, of Vernon.
Mr. Potvin was working on a pickup truck in an automotive shop in Vernon on the morning of Dec. 9, 2016. About 11:45 a.m. something went wrong and Mr. Potvin became trapped between the truck and the hoist ramps in the shop. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and WorkSafeBC continue to investigate this incident.
The family of Mr. Potvin has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
