The public is welcome to attend and provide feedback on options presented at a second open house held by The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure that will examine future highway improvement options in the District of Peachland.
The first public open house was held on June 21 and presented findings of the fact-finding phase of the study. For the second open house, the study team has prepared several options to improve the existing corridor, as well as options using an alternate route, for further public comment. The public’s input will be considered in the evaluation and eventual selection of future transportation improvements.
The ministry has committed to extensive community engagement as part of the study process.
The feedback provided by the public at the upcoming open house will continue to help the ministry to address future needs through/around Peachland.
At the same time and location, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure and the District of Peachland will also share the findings of the Peachland Speed & Safety Study. This study deals with more immediate concerns related to intersection safety and highway speeds in Peachland.
