A new website has been launched to provide information about British Columbia’s regulatory oversight related to the LNG Canada project.
Effective immediately, online visitors can find details about the initial environmental assessment process, partnerships with Indigenous Nations, permitting, regulations and compliance updates as they relate to LNG Canada and its connecting pipeline — Coastal GasLink.
Government documents, including those from the BC Oil and Gas Commission and British Columbia’s Environmental Assessment Office, can be searched and downloaded. There is a frequently-asked-question section that provides answers related to the provincial government’s regulations and authority. Visitors can also access a map for visual reference and additional content.
Updates to the site will occur frequently as new information is uploaded and supplementary features are added to improve user experience and access to information.
The website was established as part of the provincial government’s work to ensure the LNG industry continues to meet British Columbia’s four conditions for liquefied natural gas development.
The LNG regulatory interface website is available at: lng.gov.bc.ca
