Construction of the new multi-use overpass at the McKenzie Interchange will result in overnight lane closures and a detour on Highway 1 on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019.

Highway 1 southbound will be fully closed from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Southbound traffic will be detoured onto Highway 1 northbound, meaning single-lane traffic will travel in both directions through the project site.

Motorists are advised that traffic control personnel will begin the process of closing the southbound lanes at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3.

During this closure and detour, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure advises motorists to drive with care through the project site and obey all signage and posted speed limits.
