B.C. businesses receive support for electric vehicle adoption

The following rebates are available through CleanBC Go Electric Fleets program:

  • Electric vehicle charging rebates for eligible businesses:
    • For a limited time, increased rebates are available for $4,000 per station, representing an increase from 50% to 75% of costs. Basic rebates for level 2 charger purchase and installation are available for $2,000 per station.
    • For a limited time, increased rebates are available to Indigenous Nations, businesses and organizations for $5,000 per station, representing an increase from 75% to 90% of costs. Basic rebates are available for $4,000 per station.
    • Rebates will be reviewed on a continuous basis to assess program needs based on market trends.
    • Direct-current fast-charger rebates are available for 50% of the cost of purchase and installation up to $50,000 per station.
    • Direct-current fast-charger rebates for Indigenous Nations, businesses and organizations are available for 75% of the costs up to $75,000 of purchase and installation.
  • Rebates for other supports and services through the Fleets program:
    • 50% of total costs to a maximum of $10,000 for the installation of telematics tools that track and record vehicle data, such as movement and fuel use, to identify which vehicles are suitable EV candidates.
    • 50% of total costs to a maximum of $5,000 for assessments of electrical infrastructure to support EV fleet adoption.
    • For a limited time, 70% of total costs to a maximum of $30,000 for electrical modifications and/or service upgrades to support businesses to be EV fleet ready. Basic rebates for upgrades and modifications are 33% to a maximum of $20,000.
    • Support services in the form of consultation, education and advice.
