Drivers are advised that the Old Kiskatinaw Bridge on the Old Alaskan Highway Road (Kiskatinaw Road) is temporarily closed due to a landslide under the bridge that has impacted one of its piers.
Engineering staff closed the bridge this morning. It will remain closed until the material stops moving and the bridge can be assessed. Geotechnical and structural engineers, as well as operational staff, are assessing the situation.
Travellers can detour around this bridge closure via Highway 97.
There is currently no estimated time of reopening.
