As of Monday, March 7, 2022, 90.7% (4,520,196) of eligible people five and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 86.5% (4,311,761) have received their second dose.
In addition, 93.3% (4,325,628) of eligible people 12 and older in B.C. have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, 90.8% (4,209,151) received their second dose and 56.2% (2,605,260) have received a third dose.
Also, 93.7% (4,051,129) of all eligible adults in B.C. have received their first dose, 91.2% (3,946,098) received their second dose and 58.1% (2,514,841) have received a third dose.
Over a three-day period, B.C. is reporting 997 new cases of COVID-19, for a total of 350,941 cases in the province:
- March 4-5: 385 new cases
- March 5-6: 327 new cases
- March 6-7: 285 new cases
Note: The numbers of new and total cases are provisional due to a delayed data refresh.
The new cases include:
- Fraser Health: 263
- Vancouver Coastal Health: 209
- Interior Health: 242
- Northern Health: 79
- Island Health: 204
- People who reside outside of Canada: zero
There are 449 individuals hospitalized with COVID-19 and 63 are in intensive care.
In the past 72 hours, 11 new deaths have been reported, for an overall total of 2,914.
The new deaths include:
- Fraser Health: six
- Interior Health: three
- Northern Health: one
- Island Health: one
There have been no new health-care facility outbreaks. The outbreaks at Menno Home, Cascade Gardens Seniors Community (Fraser Health) and Sun Pointe Village (Interior Health) have been declared over, for a total of 17 facilities with ongoing outbreaks, including:
- long-term care:
- Ponderosa, Overlander Residential Care, Three Links Manor, Hillside Village, Mission Creek Landing, Williams Lake Seniors Village, Gillis House (Interior Health)
- Sidney Care Home, Amica on the Gorge, Selkirk Seniors Village, Nanaimo Seniors Village, Berwick House Gordon Head, The Heights at Mt. View, Greenwoods and Parkwood Court (Island Health)
- acute care:
- Mission Memorial Hospital (Fraser Health)
- assisted or independent living:
- Fischer Place (Interior Health)
From Feb. 25 to March 3, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 19.1% of cases. From Feb. 18 to March 3, they accounted for 31.9% of hospitalizations.

- Not vaccinated: 419 (16.1%)
- Partially vaccinated: 77 (3.0%)
- Fully vaccinated: 2,100 (80.9%)
Past two weeks cases hospitalized (Feb. 18 to March 3) - Total 427
- Not vaccinated: 114 (26.7%)
- Partially vaccinated: 22 (5.2%)
- Fully vaccinated: 291 (68.1%)
Past week, cases per 100,000 population after adjusting for age (Feb. 25 to March 3)
- Not vaccinated: 111.1
- Partially vaccinated: 47.3
- Fully vaccinated: 46.0
Past two weeks, cases hospitalized per 100,000 population after adjusting for age (Feb. 18 to March 3)
- Not vaccinated: 29.3
- Partially vaccinated: 19.9
- Fully vaccinated: 6.2
Since December 2020, the Province has administered 11,379,437 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Pfizer Pediatric COVID-19 vaccines.
