Eleven rural and remote communities will receive high-speed internet connectivity with projects supported through the Connecting Communities BC funding programs as follows:

Oona River/Ocean Falls/Martin Valley

Health Bay, including Gwayasdums 1 and Echo Bay

  • Total project funding of as much as $ 443,813 (Provincial/First Nations Health Authority [FNHA] funding $172,595)

  • Gilford Island/central coast

Oclucje of the Nuchatlaht First Nation

  • Total project funding of as much as $105,299 (Provincial funding $41,604)
  • 13 households served
  • West coast – Vancouver Island
