Public consultation on 2012 BC Building Code

VICTORIA - The Province is seeking public input on 14 proposed changes to the 2012 BC Building Code that may be included in the fall 2012 edition of the code.

Public participation is also invited on a number of related policy topics that are in the early development stages. The feedback from the consultation will help with further analysis. The topics include:

• Balancing housing affordability and energy efficiency requirements.
  
• Application of the BC Building Code to existing buildings. 
• Proposals for a modern building regulatory system.
