With just over a week to go until the opening of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, British Columbians gathered at the Whistler Athletes Centre—the heart of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games—to celebrate B.C.’s Sochi-bound athletes, coaches and mission staff. The Canadian Sport Institute Pacific hosted the celebration of Olympic and Paralympic athletes which was attended by Minister Coralee Oakes, athletes, family members, school children, and officials from Whistler Sport Legacies.
