On Thursday, Oct. 20 at 10:20 a.m., millions of people throughout B.C. will practise how to Drop, Cover and Hold On. Over 760,000 British Columbians are registered to participate, along with almost 53 million worldwide.
Every year, ShakeOutBC earthquake drills are held on the third Thursday of October. These drills encourage people at home, school and work to practise Drop, Cover and Hold On, and to consider the importance of overall preparedness.
By participating, you and your family, friends and co-workers will be better prepared to survive and recover quickly following an earthquake.
