From May 15-16 Amrik Virk, Minister of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services, attended TiEcon, the largest professional networking conference for entrepreneurs, in Santa Clara California. While attending, Virk connected and engaged in candid conversations with leaders from the Silicon Valley and all over the world, highlighting British Columbia’s supportive, business-friendly technology climate. He emphasized the importance of creating an environment where businesses can flourish by fostering the right talent and maintaining a competitive tax structure for entrepreneurs. The Province’s technology sector is thriving and gaining world-wide attention, and by continuing to promote its growing success internationally, we will accelerate the sector to the next level.
