A contract has been awarded to reconfigure the Dollarton Highway and Main Street interchange that will improve safety, reduce traffic congestion and provide better transit accessibility to and from Highway 1.

Motorists are advised that upcoming deck repairs to the Capilano Bridge on Highway 1 will require a full overnight closure of the westbound lanes.

The first of three new fuelling stations for hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles opens this week as part of the Province’s CleanBC transition to cleaner energy solutions to meet 2030-50 greenhouse gas reduction targets.

Drivers on the North Shore are advised that Exit 22, the Fern Street eastbound off-ramp, will be permanently closed effective Sunday, May 31, 2020.

As part of the Mountain Highway Interchange project, both the new westbound on-ramp and eastbound off-ramp will be open to traffic starting Nov. 2, 2019.  

Drivers and residents are advised of night-time demolition of the Old Mountain Highway Overpass, as part of the Lower Lynn Improvement Project to ease congestion on the North Shore.

On the evening of April 5, 2019, Mountain Highway traffic will move to the new alignment and over the new Mountain Highway overpass located two kilometres north of the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge.

Drivers are advised that Exit 22A will permanently close on March 13, 2019, as part of the Lower Lynn Improvement Project that will ease congestion on the North Shore.
