Princeton is receiving federal-provincial investment in critical clean water and wastewater infrastructure, announced Jackie Tegart, MLA for Fraser-Nicola on behalf of Minister of Community, Sport and Cultural Development Peter Fassbender.

Two projects are set to get underway this paving season that will provide smoother, safer access, and extend the life of the road surface on Highway 3 near Princeton.

Motorists are now enjoying a safer, smoother, and straighter drive on Highway 3 following the completion of a $16-million realignment and widening project approximately 25 kilometres west of Princeton.

Premier Christy Clark announced $33,350 in funding to the Princeton Ground Search and Rescue Society as part of the Province’s $10-million in one-time funding commitments to the BC Search and Rescue Association (BCSARA) to help bolster training, administrative support and equipment renewals for these critical public safety lifeline volunteers.

Work will begin shortly on the highway realignment project to improve safety between Sunday Creek and Sunday Summit on Highway 3.

A significant rockfall event last week has closed the Trans-Canada Trail and Kettle Valley Rail Trail between Princeton and Coalmont to all users until further notice.
