BC Wildfire Service crews will be conducting a series of controlled pile burns in the Nadina Zone between Sept. 27 and Oct. 28 in collaboration with the Forests for Tomorrow Program.

BC Wildfire Service crews will be conducting a series of fuel management burns in the Northwest Fire Centre in September and October to remove accumulated woody debris and reduce the wildfire hazard in the region.

Effective at noon on Monday, Aug. 29, 2016, Category 2 open burns are once again allowed throughout the Northwest Fire Centre. While fire danger ratings have dropped with the recent rain, the public is encouraged to still exercise caution with any campfires or outdoor burning.
