The King Charles III Coronation Medal was awarded to outstanding individuals in British Columbia during a ceremony with the lieutenant governor.

Eighteen people from throughout B.C. will receive the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for their outstanding service and commitment to helping others in their communities.

Nineteen British Columbians will be receiving the Province’s Medal of Good Citizenship for their outstanding community service.

B.C. Premier John Horgan and Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee met today for a bilateral meeting and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to act jointly to grow the region’s innovation economy, protect the environment and combat climate change, promote trade and improve transportation connectivity.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the partnership between British Columbia and Washington state, the B.C. government will help fund a study of a potential ultra-high-speed corridor service connecting Vancouver with Seattle, Portland and beyond.

The Premier of British Columbia, the governors of Oregon and Washington, and the California secretary for environmental protection, on behalf of the governor of California, met today to mark the 10th anniversary of the Pacific Coast Collaborative (PCC), and identify opportunities to further strengthen collaboration. 

Premier John Horgan departed today to Guangzhou, China, as part of a 10-day mission to China, South Korea and Japan to strengthen economic and cultural ties with three of B.C.’s largest trading partners, expand markets, and create good jobs for people throughout B.C.

The construction phase of the Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Renewal Initiative is now complete and all 13 of the renovated single-room-occupant buildings are fully operational.
