Todd Stone, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, and Peter Fassbender, Minister of Community, Sport, and Cultural Development and Minister Responsible for TransLink, issued the following statement regarding recent meetings with the federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities:

Drivers can expect heavy traffic volumes and delays from Saturday night (April 2) through Sunday morning (April 3) on the Lions Gate Bridge, as crews work to install the temporary construction bridge cover for rehabilitation work.

In early April, the ministry will start rehabilitation work on the south tower of the Lions Gate Bridge to replace the expansion joint.

Eligible electric vehicles in British Columbia will now be allowed to travel in high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes throughout the province without having to meet the occupancy requirements.
