The week of March 21 – 25, 2016, has been declared the first ever Technology Skills Appreciation Week in B.C.

The B.C. government has accepted a Letter of Intent from the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations to acquire stewardship of the provincial portion of the Jericho lands.

The Province will provide an additional 88 units of transitional housing and shelter, as well as 40 rent supplements for campers currently residing at the Victoria courthouse lawns.

Operating grants to public post-secondary education institutions continue to be aligned with education and training for in-demand occupations, with an additional $90 million targeted in 2015-16.

More than $1.1 million in grants for a second wave of nine projects funded through the provincewide Connecting British Columbia program will benefit more than 80 B.C. communities located in rural and remote areas of the province by improving access to high-speed Internet.
