French immersion students throughout B.C. have plenty to celebrate during French Immersion Celebration Week, Feb. 3-9, 2020.

Many students throughout the province will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz with age-appropriate lessons about how, where, what and why the Holocaust happened, including survivors’ personal stories.

Students in B.C. are continuing to benefit from increased investments, more teachers and more funding to support Indigenous education and students with special needs, with additional funding for B.C.’s public school districts in 2019-20.

The Office of the Commissioner for Teacher Regulation has released its annual report, which includes a statistical review of educator-related complaints, reports and investigations from 2018-19.  

A $2-million provincewide investment in school-based student mental health will help ensure kids can access support when they need it and that they feel safe and connected at school.

Education Savings Week is from Nov. 18 to 22, 2019.

Students and educators throughout B.C. will be able to connect with learning opportunities in science, technology, engineering, art and design, and mathematics (STEAM) through a new network of resources and mentorships.
