People travelling the Alaska Highway can look forward to improved public safety with expanded access to 911 emergency services through five new roadside emergency call boxes.

British Columbians in 53 communities will benefit from almost $16 million paid by the Province to local governments in lieu of property taxes.  

The Government of British Columbia has underscored its commitment to work with Indigenous peoples in the spirit of respect and collaboration by introducing a set of draft principles designed to guide the daily work of provincial government employees. Don Wright, head of the BC Public Service shared the draft principles with all 27,000 public service employees on Tuesday, May 22, 2018.

Today the B.C. government will distribute approximately $17.1 million in compensation for municipal property taxes to 59 communities throughout the province.

The Province recently launched iMapBC 2.0, an upgraded version of its popular online mapping toolkit that will provide improved access to thousands of geographical datasets.

The public is invited to a consultation at the Oliver Community Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 12 on proposed boundary changes to Inkaneep Provincial Park.
