Several Kelowna-region family doctors are welcoming nurses to their practice teams, to expand access and support more patients with their health needs.

The Province is moving forward with projects at University Hospital of Northern BC (UHNBC) to improve patient care.

A new emergency department, just approved by the Province, will enhance patient care at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail and serve residents of the whole region for years to come.

The Ministry of Health has approved the concept plan for the redevelopment of key facilities as a part of the Burnaby Hospital Renewal, as well as a project to improve mental-health and substance-use services in the current emergency department in the short term, and consolidation of community health services.
