Drivers are advised that a detour will be in place along Highway 19, near Bowser on Vancouver Island, from Sept. 10 to 14, 2018, to accommodate the filming of a movie.

In just over a year and a half, the new intercommunity transit service along Highway 16 has provided safe, affordable travel for approximately 12,000 passengers in northern B.C.

As a result of today’s fatal accident on Highway 1, all northbound and southbound drivers who were wanting to travel over the Malahat are being detoured via the Pacific Marine Circle Route, until further notice.

The eighth annual Ryder Hesjedal’s Tour de Victoria bike ride will take place on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018, from approximately 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Safety and access improvements are being made to Central Street West and Highway 97, to provide better traffic flow for the local community.

A stretch of Highway 101, between Powell River and Lund, will be widened and resurfaced to make this drive easier and safer for people travelling the corridor.
