A disaster recovery workshop will be held this weekend on Feb. 3 and 4 at the Pioneer Complex in Williams Lake to help B.C. ranchers and farmers manage their way through the recovery phase, following last summer’s record wildfires.

British Columbia commercial-greenhouse operators have until March 30, 2018, to apply for greenhouse carbon-tax relief grants for related crop-growing expenses they had in 2017.

Following a year impacted by wildfire, flooding and invasive species, farmers and ranchers around the province can recover some of their lost income with the Government of British Columbia’s new AgriStability Enhancement Program.

An independent, respected national water and governance expert has been commissioned to support the review of the pollution in the Hullcar Aquifer, recently announced by Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy George Heyman.
