The Province’s public engagement to shape British Columbia's new human rights commission ends in one week.

Today marks graduation day at the B.C. Sheriff Academy at New Westminster’s Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC).

The Government of British Columbia has extended by two weeks the date for the Insurance Corporation of B.C. (ICBC) to file its Revenue Requirements Application for 2017 to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC).

The Government of British Columbia says additional short-term funding from the federal government will ensure refugees in B.C. can continue to access legal aid.

The provincial government is committed to leading and supporting actions to end violence against Indigenous women and girls.

Leaders of British Columbia’s justice, public safety, mental health, substance use and social services sectors have committed to create an action plan on crisis response and continuity of care. The action plan is scheduled to be complete by November 2017.

With the forecast for several more days of unusually cold weather throughout much of the province, the BC Coroners Service is urging everyone to take special care of themselves – and each other.
