The Government of British Columbia is launching a first-of-its-kind effort to restore oil and gas “legacy sites” across northeastern British Columbia.

A collaborative four-year effort between B.C. and Alaska to examine water quality in the Stikine, Taku, and Unuk transboundary watersheds brought together government agencies, Indigenous Nations, industry, and the public to ensure the environmental, cultural, and economic values of these rivers are protected.

A second $50 million for the Province’s dormant well clean-up program is available, supporting jobs for B.C. workers in oil and gas service companies and reducing environmental impacts in the Northeast.

B.C. municipalities and businesses building their light-duty fleets of electric vehicles (EVs) have access to new rebates and supports for charging infrastructure through CleanBC’s Go Electric programs.

The Province is doubling CleanBC Better Homes retrofit rebates for select home-heating and energy-efficiency upgrades to support B.C.’s economic recovery and help British Columbians save on energy costs.

British Columbians can receive double the amount per rebate to buy and install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations at home and at work.

Eleven building projects have been selected as winners in a juried competition to support the design and construction of energy-efficient buildings.
