Parents in the Shuswap region have more options for child care with the addition of 19 new licensed child care spaces in the area, including the first licensed family child care centre in Sicamous.

Hundreds more bursaries will be offered to early childhood educators (ECEs), and those wanting to pursue a career in child care, as part of the Province’s commitment to create a universal child care system in B.C.

Budget 2019 is creating opportunities for all British Columbians by delivering a new B.C. Child Opportunity Benefit for kids up to the age of 18, removing interest from B.C. student loans, reducing taxes for businesses and investing in clean energy and climate solutions.
