Every senior in British Columbia deserves the peace of mind that comes with having safe and affordable housing – yet too many can’t find the secure, accessible, affordable homes they need.

People in B.C. work hard every day. The way I see it, our job as government is to make sure people have the opportunity to build a better life for themselves and their families. Because with more opportunities, we succeed together.

Too many people in B.C can’t find a family doctor, or are forced to wait long hours in emergency rooms in the evenings and on weekends to access the care they need.

On the final day of the Council of the Federation summit, Premier John Horgan has released the following statements on representing British Columbians’ concerns:

A new, landmark agreement for key public-sector infrastructure projects in B.C. will deliver good-paying jobs, better training and apprenticeships, and more trades opportunities for Indigenous peoples, women and youth around the province.

Seniors will get relief from rising housing costs, with more than 150 new affordable rental homes coming to Nanaimo.

To provide better health care for a growing region of the province, the B.C. government has greenlit a new hospital for the Cowichan Valley.
