Over the past nine weeks, the Government of B.C. has heard from thousands of British Columbians online and in face-to-face meetings as we gathered input for the province’s new 10-year transportation plan.

The Government of B.C. has listened to the truckers serving Port Metro Vancouver and is today releasing its proposed rate structure, which will soon be brought into force, providing fair wages for these truckers moving forward, plus other improvements.

JPW Road and Bridge has won this year's Deputy Minister's Contractor of the Year Award in the category of safety innovation for their development of a Fall Arrest System for the Mara Bridge Stringer Replacement project.

Seven maintenance contractors have won this year's Deputy Minister's Contractor of the Year Award for highway maintenance for their work on the Highway 16 corridor.

Lafarge Canada Inc. C.O.B. has won this year's Deputy Minister's Contractor of the Year Award in the grading category for the Mufford/64th Avenue Rail Overpass at Highway 10 project.

Tybo Contracting Ltd. has won this year’s Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Award for bridges and structures, for the Cariboo Overpass and Gaglardi Way Mobile Weigh Scale Project in Burnaby.

Dawson Construction Limited has won this year’s Deputy Minister’s Contractor of the Year Award in the paving category, for a multi-part project in the Kamloops area.

A new traffic signal and two pedestrian crosswalks will be installed at the intersection of Comox Rd. and Queneesh Rd. by mid-December.
