Work has begun to upgrade the intersection at Highway 19 and Lantzville Road with a project that includes a new traffic signal, a northbound acceleration lane onto the highway and overhead street lighting, as well as pedestrian crosswalks, curbs and islands.

Work has begun on a $2.8-million seismic retrofit and overall rehabilitation project to improve the safety and lifespan of the structure that takes traffic over Highway 1 on Horseshoe Bay Drive.

The public is invited to attend a drop-in information session on Monday, March 13, 2017, to learn more about proposed additional improvements in and around Cuthbert Holmes Park as part of the interchange project.
