The B.C. government is taking a three-pronged approach to building opportunities and sales for B.C. farmers, seafood producers and food processors, as well as those wanting to join these sectors.

Thousands of people will slither through miles of mud and tackle difficult obstacles this weekend, as they compete in Tough Mudder Whistler, an event partly funded by the Province.

As visitors to Vancouver enjoy samples of more than 300 unique craft beers and ciders during the popular ninth-annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week, the Province is providing funding to help promote it, in order to draw more visitors to the region.

Festival-goers can ski and dance the chill away at Snowbombing Canada, thanks in part to $105,000 in provincial government funding.

B.C. worked closely with the federal government which is responsible for representing Canadian interests in trade negotiations. While the federal government engaged extensively with its U.S. counterparts, there is not yet enough common ground to support an agreement.
