Todd Stone, Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, made the following statement in response to a report from Delta first responders about the safety of the George Massey Tunnel:

On Nov. 19, the Salmon River Bridge will be closed for eight hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. to allow for the bridge to be moved from its present highway alignment to provide a detour while the new bridge is being constructed.

A new commemorative licence plate is available in British Columbia for recipients of the Memorial Cross.

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure has now completed work on a $5.2-million highway rehabilitation project for highways 10, 15, 91 and 99.
