Work will soon be underway on a project to replace the Kathlyn Creek culvert with a bridge on Highway 16 near Smithers.

Construction has finished on a new eastbound passing lane that will enhance safety and the flow of traffic on Highway 16 east of Vanderhoof.

A project is now underway to stabilize a rock slope on Highway 31 north of Kaslo, in the vicinity of Lost Ledge Provincial Park.

The project to pave 48.5 kilometres of Highway 5 between the North Thompson Bridge in Avola and Whitewater Bridge is now complete.

An arterial retaining wall on Highway 3B/22 in Rossland will be replaced this summer with a new cast-in-place concrete structure. 

After reviewing the tenders, the ministry has decided to postpone this project until further notice.  The bids received were much higher than the ministry anticipated. The ministry will be considering next steps for the future delivery of this work.
