People who use the handyDART system are seeing improved service as a result of the introduction of taxi supplemental service on Saturdays.

People who use transit in Kelowna will see new services being added between University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO), Rutland and downtown, and additional trips on many other routes, as well as improvements to the Mission area and an expanded taxi-supplement program.

More people with accessibility challenges throughout the province will soon have better access to wheelchair-accessible taxis, reducing wait times and allowing them to get around their communities with ease.

The Province has introduced Bill 40, proposing changes to the Passenger Transportation Act that will enhance safety and accessibility for B.C.’s taxi and ride-hailing industries.
