Starting and running a business in Cumberland just got easier now that the community has joined 117 other B.C. municipalities in signing on to the BizPaL permitting service.
BizPaL is a free online service that saves entrepreneurs time spent on paperwork and helps them start their businesses faster. The service was launched in 2005, and reduces the time spent determining what regulations apply to certain business types. BizPaL provides business owners with online, simplified access to information about the business permits and licences they may require to start up and operate their businesses in a specific location.
BizPaL is the result of a unique partnership among federal, provincial, territorial and municipal governments which cuts through the paperwork burden and red tape that small business owners encounter, helping them focus on business growth and job creation.
