Urgent and primary care centres in Victoria
  • People can visit UPCCs for their urgent and primary-care needs. Patients can also be referred by community service providers, other health-care professionals and clinics.
  • Patients requiring laboratory testing beyond the simple specimen collection will be provided with requisitions for lab tests to be completed at nearby laboratories.
  • The Gorge UPCC is approximately 418 square metres (4,500 square feet) with a separate entrance. 
  • Total capital costs for the Gorge UPCC are estimated to be approximately $5 million, $1.5 million (30%) of which is contributed by Capital Regional Hospital District.
  • The Gorge UPCC will provide services for people in the Victoria West, north downtown, Rock Bay, Burnside-Gorge, Tillicum-Gorge, Colquitz, Marigold, Strawberry Vale, Lake Hill, Seven Oaks and South Royal Oak neighbourhoods.
