Work will soon begin to stabilize a geotechnically challenging hillside along Highway 97 south of Taylor.

The contract has been awarded to construct a two-lane realignment of a segment of Highway 29 and replace the Halfway River Bridge northwest of Fort St. John.

Residents of Fort St. John can look forward to a new multi-use pathway that will improve safety and accessibility for cyclists, pedestrians and all active commuters.

Crews are starting to build a temporary road for residents of Old Fort to access the community, now that the area surrounding the landslide is stable enough to start work.

Work has completed on a safety improvement project at the Highway 97 and 254 Road intersection.
