Four British Columbia companies have each won $20,000 for developing B.C. tech to help solve a problem identified as part of the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and the BC Innovation Council’s Innovation Challenge.

Minister of  Community, Sport and Cultural Development and Minister Responsible for TransLink Peter Fassbender, on behalf of Premier Christy Clark, will present Sahib Thind, a well-known Surrey citizen, with the province’s newest honour, the Medal of Good Citizenship.

The Governments of British Columbia and Québec renewed their near 12-year partnership by signing a new Agreement of Cooperation and Exchange with respect to the Francophonie.  

Minister of Agriculture Norm Letnick, responsible for the BC Francophone Affairs Program, celebrated the 15th annual B.C. Francophonie Day with the francophone community representatives and francophiles at the Parliament Buildings.

Minister of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Development and Minister Responsible for Labour Shirley Bond, on behalf of Premier Christy Clark, presented Paul and Terry Nichols, well-known Quesnel citizens, with the Province’s significant honour, the Medal of Good Citizenship.
