Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA) is now available to eligible British Columbians in the Central Kootenay Regional District, the East Kootenay Regional District, Electoral Area A of the Kootenay Boundary Regional District, and the Columbia Shuswap Regional District (including municipalities within these areas) who may have been impacted from flooding that occurred between March 5 and April 10, 2017.

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations will be assisting the Lytton First Nation with a prescribed burn to reduce wildfire threats in the Lillooet Fire Zone.

The Province is moving forward with intersection improvements at Racing and Hydraulic Road on Highway 97 in Quesnel and will be seeking the public’s input into the planning and design in the months ahead.

Safety and mobility along Highway 97 between Williams Lake and Quesnel will be improved as part of the $200-million third phase of the Cariboo Connector Strategy.

The BC Coroners Service is investigating after two adults and two children were found deceased in their residence near the community of Ashcroft on March 24, 2017. 

Students in the Quesnel School District will benefit from $1.3 million in provincial funding for school upgrade projects, classroom supplies and a new school bus.

Kelowna will receive $777,435 in BikeBC funding this year for the Okanagan Rail Trail (Dilworth Drive to Airport Way).
